We give you the Peppercorn experience. From the moment you enter the door you are welcome - we offer the flavours of the Middle-East, North-Africa and of the Mediterranean in dishes made with our daily deliveries of fruit and veg. For the sweet of tooth we have towers of giant rosewater meringues, homemade cakes & puddings and freshly brewed coffee all to be enjoyed by our cosy woodburner on those Cornish weather days, or in our terraced garden overlooking the gorgeous Cornish coastline in summer.
On the back of our Street Food Mezze Blue Moon, we have decided to base our March Cook School demos on Middle-Eastern street food. We have listed all sessions as demo but if you'd like to stay on for any of them to cook your own dishes then do let us know:
Wednesday 11 March 9.30 - 11.30am £20 Street Food 1 Dry roasted green peas with fenugreek Mackerel with lemon Chermoula We will be filleting our mackerel, creating a spicy marinade and frying the fish to accompany our pea & fenugreek side dish
Thursday 12 March 9.30 - 11.30am £20 Street Food 2 Lemon roasted almonds with saffron Carrot Pekmez Lentil, lemon & chilli salad A selection of delicious vegetarian dishes to be eaten as mains or to accompany a mezze feast.
Wednesday 18 March 93.0 - 11.30am £20 Street Food 3 How to make Filo Briks (Middle-Eastern samosas) We will be showing you how to make the fillings and then how to shape the brik (revise O level geometry!) If you'd like to have a go at building your own brik you can! The fillings will be: goats' cheese & herb and Persian lamb Then we will make accompaniments for each brik: Fenugreek and preserved lemon dressing Rose paste & Greek yoghurt
